B.A. in Visual Arts from Roger Williams University

Monica's interest in working with children was first sparked when she began working with a two-year old boy who struggled with emotional and behavioral disorders. Monica went on to receive her B.A. in Visual Arts from Roger Williams University. While working on her degree, she continued to work with children by volunteering at a local elementary school. Monica worked with children to design and create murals within the school. The murals taught children about the importance of community and teamwork.
After graduation, Monica worked in a classroom of one to two year olds in a private daycare. She gained a lot of experience working with young children and their families. The different types of behavior that young children display encouraged Monica to continue to work with young children.
